Women’s Journeys in Fiber at the Anderson Arts Center

I just love the Anderson Arts Center in Kenosha, WI. The “Birds: Imagined, Natural, Symbolic” by Women’s Journeys in Fiber is there on exhibit, now through February.

I went there for the artist reception today and it was wonderful of course.

My piece is “Hummers in the Garden” and was prominently placed inside the main room with a nice lite shining down from the ceiling.

Let me show you the closeup of the quilting and painting involved in creating this piece.

The orange flower side is really the front but it worked so well in transitioning the room through color that I went with the front of the piece facing the back. Pretty cool that it fit so well in this room facing this way!
